This is the only known model of this style which does not have a red LED display, and also is not made in England by Sumlock-Anita Electronics Ltd. Instead it is labelled for Fi-cord Ltd. of Didsbury, Manchester, and was made in
Yugoslavia.
As mentioned by John Sparkes on the page The Demise of Anita & Bell Punch, around 1976 Rockwell decided to exit the calculator market and "an
electronics company was founded in Nis, Yugoslavia, which was interested in buying both the design and the production facilities of our hand-held calculators".
Fi-cord, which had been a distributor of Anita hand-held
calculators, and was a marketing company for consumer electronics, must have bought the rights, and maybe tooling and parts, for the calculators. Besides this model made in Yugoslavia, Fi-cord badged Anita 1211 desktop calculators made in Japan are also known.
